Who is Rob Penn?

Rob Penn has ridden a bicycle most days of his adult life, in over 40 countries on five continents. In his late 20s, he gave up a career as a City lawyer to cycle round the world. As well as working for Bikecation, Rob is a journalist and author of the bestselling book, It’s All About the Bike: the Pursuit of Happiness on Two Wheels which has been translated into ten languages. His most recent book, The man who made things out of trees has been extremely well received in 2016.

You may have also seen Rob on TV. It’s all About the Bike was made into a BBC documentary, Ride of My Life. He also stars opposite Freddie Flintoff on Sky1 with the highly amusing Lord of the Fries.

Rob is available for bespoke cycle guiding as well as running Sportive Training weekends in the Black Mountains in Wales through the winter. 2017 sees the new edition of Robs Raids, which will be a series of adventurous style bike tours that are in locations deemed off the beaten track and therefore perfect to explore.

Many of our Leisure Cycling Holidays have also been personally researched and put together by Rob, including our Beach to Border tour in Rob’s home territory.

If you want to learn all about Rob’s experiences and adventures he regularly holds talks at various locations across the UK. For news and details of upcoming presentations, like us on Facebook, follow us on twitter or instagram at:
