Mirador de Haria

The Mirador de Haria is the high point on Lanzarote. The famous Tabayesco climb finishes here, and the ascent from the south, is part of the Lanzarote Ironman Bike course. Made up of a series of hairpins, the views back to the coast are stunning. It is located on the LZ-10 road, between Haria and Los Valles, in the north-eastern part of Lanzarote.

The Climb in Detail

“The Mirador de Haria may not be the biggest climb in Europe, but when combined with the heat and wind, it can make it feel much more difficult than it is".

The Ascents

There are two main ascents up the Mirador de Haria climb; from Haria and from Los Valles. If climbing up from Haria and you sart at the coast, you add another 4 km of climbing! it is classed as a category 3 climb at an average gradient of 5%, and topping out at 630m above sea level. It is famous for being the high point of the Ironman Lanzarote bike course.

613m above Sea Level

The most photogenic side of the mountain is the ascent from Haria, the hairpins coil up the mountian and you get great views out to the Ocean. The wind and climate make this climb difficult, rather than the climb itself.
