Cyprus

The island of Cyprus, known for its stunning sandy coves, warm Mediterranean climate and gregarious hospitality is now fast becoming a cycling paradise.

Cycling in Cyprus you will be treated to a changing and varied landscape that at one moment can be dry and arid and the next be full of vibrant colours with orange and lemon groves lining the road. The climbing in the mountains can be difficult at times, but you will be treated to some fantastic views at the summit. In fact, there is always something to be marvelling when riding your bike in Cyprus as you will be sure to pass some of the most beautiful churches and archaeological UNESCO sites in the Mediterranean.

Tochni

Tochni, a small and picturesque village which lies between the main towns of Larnaca and Limassol. Set on the slopes of two hills, its traditional stone-built houses line the narrow streets that wind their way to a beautiful church.

Bike highlights

Route highlight

Cyprus is fast becoming the new must ride cycling destination, offering a variety of routes for all levels alongside quiet and smooth roads. The highlight of this being the interior of the island where you will find most of the climbing.

Bike difficulty

Difficulty level

Cycling in Cyprus can be as difficult as you would like to make it. With plenty of riding to be done along the coastline and harder riding to be done towards the centre of the island. There is something for every level of cyclist in Cyprus.

Bike best times

Best time to go

Autumn and Spring offer the best time to go to Cyprus as it's not too hot out on the bike as it would be in the summer, plus the island is quieter in general. We recommend February and March for those looking for some early season sun.
