Cycling in Switzerland

Interlaken lies in the Bernese Oberland between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, in Central Switzerland. It is the access town for the Jungfrau region overlooked by the imposing trio of mountains: Eiger, Monch & Jungfrau.

The region has some of the most stunning rides in the Alps combining traditional swiss architecture with stunning mountain passes.

The Bernese Oberland is the mountainous region of the Swiss canton of Bern, full of picturesque landscapes, many mountain peaks and some classic climbs. The views are breath-taking, and the area is truly a pleasure to explore.

The town is a traditional resort town, busy throughout the year. It is a great base for rides over the Grosse Scheidegg with views of the Eiger or in the Emmental region above lake Brienz. It is also easy to access the Furka, Grimselpass and Sustenpass from Interlaken.

Meiringen is a traditional town in the canton of Bern. It is famous for the nearby Reichenbach Falls, a spectacular waterfall that was the setting for the final showdown between Sherlock Homes and professor Moriaty. It is also ideally located to ride over the superb passes of this region: Furka, Grimselpass and Sustenpass as well as being able to access the cobbled St Gotthard Pass.
