Day 2: Bordeaux - Cadillac (49 km / 30 miles)

Proud of its new transport facilities, Bordeaux has given a large access to bikes! By this way, leave easily the town centre to ride on an original and rustic cycling path which will lead you to Créon, a typical fortified village of this area! Then continue through the vineyards of Cadillac until the surrounding wall of the village.

An optional extra night can be arranged along with a 50 km bike ride loop that will allow you to discover the the Sauternes vineyards.

Day 3: Cadillac - St Emilion (50 km / 31 miles)

This stage will allow you to ride through the heart of ‘Entre-deux Mers’ vineyards, from the Garonne to the Dordogne river. You will have the opportunity to visit the charming village of Rauzan, overlooked by its dignified medieval chateau, before reaching the prestigious village of Saint-Emilion, one of the richest village in historical testimonies.

Day 4: St Emilion - Blaye (64 km / 40 miles)

Leave this city symbol of the greatest vintage wines to ride along Bordeaux vineyards and the soil ‘Bordeaux Supérieur’ then continue on Côtes de Blaye AOC vineyards. Blaye is also known for its citadel overlooking the Gironde river, dignified and magnificent, it has been built by Vauban during the 17th century and has been classified as historical testimony.

Day 5: Blaye - Bordeaux (61 km / 38 miles)

Take a marine breath! Start this ride with a Gironde river crossing by boat to reach Lamarque and its famous Médoc vineyards and chateaux wine cellars. For the most courageous and for the vintage wine lovers, an escapade towards Pauillac is a must! Then, for a wonderful finish, have a stop at the prestigious Château Margaux and reach Bordeaux.

Testimonial

We had a great trip. Good bikes that were lovely to cycle and the staff adjusted the saddle height to suit us very well. Lovely hotels overall with good food and boutique feel. Bags always arrived on time and hotels let us check in early. Really enjoyed this well organised trip. - Therese
