Cycling the Algarve Coast

This is a wonderful cycling holiday that takes you along the south coast of Portugal. The tour begins in Sagres at Cape S. Vincent which is the south-westernmost point in Continental Europe. You will then journey eastwards towards the Spanish border.

Enjoy the magnificent beaches of the Algarve region with the crystal clear blue sea. You will have the chance to visit Lagos, one of the oldest towns in the region. Explore the fascinating history of the area through the fort and the wall ruins that surround the town of Lagos. On the tour along the coast, you will pass some of the most amazing golf resorts too!

The towns Albuferia, Vilamoura, the old quarters in Faro and the traditional Tavira are all on the list. Tavira is particularly fascinating due to its Moorish influence and fabulous Roman Bridge over the Gilão River in its historical centre. You will cycle along the Natural Park of Ria Formosa, an area abundant with many fantastic species as it is where many birds from North and Central Europe spend their winters. This tour of the Algrave coast finishes in Tavira.

Come and discover the secrets of the Algarve Coast on this fantastic cycling holiday!
