Morzine, France

Morzine is a huge hotspot for mountain bikers taking advantage of both the cross-country and downhill trails. But it is also a great base for road riders with a load of big name climbs on your doorstep.

Where to Ride?

The Col de Joux Plane is the perhaps the most prized climb to bag in the area. But the Col de Aravais and the Col de Ramaz are all reachable from here and there are many other great roads to ride.

Where to Stay?

Stay in the Hotel Hermine Blanche. It's super bike friendly and has rental Specilaized bikes. Contact us if you would like to know more .

Where to Eat?

There are many choices of places to eat in Morzine, but almost all of them have the skier's favourite of tarliflette. This is a local dish made of potatoes, local cheese, bacon and onions - just what you need after a day on the bike in the mountains.

What to do, other than ride?

Other than cycling and spending time in the town, there are many other mountain sports to try your hand at, lakes to swim in and even a bowling alley.

What Climb not to miss?

Don't miss riding the Col de Joux Plane from the Samoëns side.

What you didn't know about Morzine?

Until 1862 there was no road into Morzine!
